The Lumos Pro by Tom’s Studio: A Pen Built for Artists, Writers & Analog Obsessives
The Lumos Pro by Tom’s Studio offers a sustainable, refillable alternative to disposable fineliners like Microns
If you love a great writing or drawing tool like I do— the kind that feels just right in the hand, that makes you want to pick it up even before you know what you’re going to draw… then let me introduce you to the Lumos Pro by Tom’s Studio.

What Is the Lumos Pro ?
The Lumos Pro is a premium single or dual fineliner pen that’s designed to be long-lasting and sustainable, the exact opposite of disposable plastic fineliners like Sakura Pigma Micron or Copic Multiliner SP.
You can fill the pen with your favorite dye-based fountain pen ink and it has 11 swappable Japan nibs ranging from fineliners: ultra-fine (0.1 micron) to broad (1.0 micron), writing tips: 0.3 & 0.5, brush & bullet and chisel tip so you can be as creative as possible. I personally use the finer nibs 0.1 - 0.3 with Platinum Carbon Black ink which is pigment-based waterproof ink. Here are the full pen specs.
Real Talk: Is it a good alternative to microns?
I work in a technical engraving style, and I’m notoriously hard on my fineliners. Most tips break down before I finish the ink — which is a real bummer. However, the Lumos Pro tips holds strong. The tips don’t “cave“ into the barrel like other fineliners, and replacements tips are easy to install when needed.
The writing feel? Smooth and consistent, with excellent ink flow.
Final Verdict
This modular, sustainable pen is beautifully crafted and infinitely refillable. Whether you're an artist, illustrator, or journaler, the Lumos Pro was designed with creatives in mind. It’s a drawing tool that’s beautifully designed, and so much fun to use.
If you love analog tools that are as functional as they are beautiful, the Lumos Pro is absolutely worth exploring. You can use the promocode: IZZAWEIHAAS to receive 10% off all products, with a minimum purchase of £30.00 or more.
I would recommend the Lumos Pro Duo if you need more flexibility than the Single Lumos but either option would be a great selection if you are looking to replace your other fineliners.
💬 Have you tried the Lumos Duo or another refillable fineliner? Drop your thoughts in the comments — I’d love to hear what you’re using.
